The current Chinese Braille GB / t15720 is based on the phonetic alphabet and spelled Chinese Putonghua. The system is relatively simple. According to the characteristics of Chinese syllable structure, it adopts the double spelling of sound and rhyme, 21 initials, 34 finals, and 63 Braille punctuations, which can be arranged well. Therefore, it does not need to take the path of long string of phonemes, and it is suitable for the characteristics of Braille requiring brevity.

盲文要容易被觸摸到、容易辨認(rèn)，一般設(shè)置在7OOmm-950mm范圍內(nèi)。中英文字母應(yīng)選擇非襯線黑體，不應(yīng)采用斜體、粗體或襯線字體。標(biāo)識中盲文應(yīng)放置于標(biāo)識內(nèi)容的下方，不斷行。可觸摸內(nèi)容分為多段排列時，盲文也應(yīng)排列于可觸覺圖形之下不小于9.5mm的位置，并排列為一行；保持盲文距離標(biāo)識邊緣及其他信息9.5mm以上的空間。可觸摸信息的序列宜按從左右的方式排列，與圖形配合的盲文位置應(yīng)盡量接近圖形，并應(yīng)遵守可觸覺圖文和盲文的一般排版原則。
Braille should be easy to touch and recognize, generally within the range of 7oomm-950mm. The Chinese and English letters shall be non Serif Bold, and shall not be in italics, bold or serif. 附著式標(biāo)識必須遵從以下原則：從的字母底部算起，觸摸標(biāo)識應(yīng)高出地面少48英寸（約122cm）；從的字母頂部算起，標(biāo)識離地面高度不宜超過60英寸（約152cm）；對頭頂?shù)鯍焓綐?biāo)識的字母高度不宜小于2英寸（約5cm），同時字母的底線離地面的距離不宜超過10英尺（約3m）。觸摸標(biāo)識門牌應(yīng)根據(jù)房間門的具體開啟方式和位置而設(shè)置，房間名稱宜用號碼與字母來表達(dá)，而不是具體詞匯。
